The expert workshop took place online on the 4th and 5th of March 2021. It was co-organized by the Centre ASESD Camilo Dagum in the context of the InGRID-2 project
The focus of the Expert Workshop on ‘Measuring and monitoring regional multidimensional poverty and
cost of living: new data, new methods’ was on multidimensional poverty indicators to monitoring the
phenomena at the appropriate domain/geographical level, possibly also considering the degree of
urbanization.
It was organized into two days. On the first day, the experts discussed the definition of multidimensional poverty with special attention to new poverties and vulnerabilities and new data sources. On the second day, the experts discussed the measurement of the spatial distribution of poverty at inter and intra-country level also considering modern sources of data. Each day consisted of two sessions and a final Round Table Discussion
